Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to scientificstepsgroup-ssg.com, SSG's journal platform at scientificsteps-group.com, their subdomains, and the services offered through them (together, "the Website"). The Website is operated by Scientific Steps International Publishing Services L.L.C., trading as Scientific Steps Group ("SSG", "we"), Office 1F-04, Hor Al Anz, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using the Website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You can read all published content without an account. To submit, review, or edit manuscripts, you need an account. You agree to give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and use the account only yourself. You may not create an account in someone else's name, or with a false affiliation or email address.

3.1 When you submit a manuscript, you ask the journal to consider it for peer review and possible publication. Submitting does not commit the journal to publish it.

3.2 Editorial decisions follow the journal's published policies, and are made by its editors on scholarly merit. When a manuscript is rejected, the decision letter gives the reasons. Appeals are handled under our Appeals and Complaints policy.

3.3 You may withdraw a manuscript free of charge at any time before acceptance. After acceptance, withdrawal is possible only in the circumstances described in our Open Access, Copyright and Archiving policy. Published articles cannot be withdrawn. They can only be corrected or retracted.

3.4 By submitting, you confirm that you will follow the journal's author guidelines and SSG's Publication Ethics and related policies.

4.1 Article processing charges (APCs) are listed on the Article Processing Charges page. They become payable only after a manuscript is accepted. The fee that applies is the one listed on the date the manuscript was submitted.

4.2 Invoices are sent by email to the payment contact named at acceptance. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Publication may be scheduled once payment has been received, or once a waiver has been confirmed.

4.3 Refunds: an APC is refunded in full if the journal cancels publication of an accepted article for reasons that are not the authors' responsibility. APCs are not refunded when an article is retracted because of misconduct by the authors. Other cases are considered individually. Fees for optional services, such as language editing or the StepSphere workspace, follow the terms shown when you order them.

5.1 Articles: authors keep copyright in their articles. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may reuse articles in line with that licence.

5.2 Website: the design, software, logos, and text of the Website, other than the articles, belong to SSG or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission, except as the law allows.

You must not:

• Use the Website for anything unlawful.
• Try to get unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
• Upload malicious code.
• Download content automatically in a way that harms the Website's performance.
• Impersonate any person.
• Submit content that is defamatory, infringes someone's rights, or is fraudulent.

We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

StepSphere is governed by the StepSphere Policy, and Author Services by the terms on their service pages. Those terms apply in addition to these terms. Where they conflict, the specific service terms prevail for that service.

Published articles represent the views of their authors, not of SSG. We work to keep the Website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. As far as the law allows, SSG is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the Website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

We may update these terms. The version and date are shown at the top of this page, and significant changes are announced on the News page. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai.
