We are thrilled to announce the awards for the best research that will be presented at the 1st SCCEE international virtual conference! These awards aim to recognize and encourage outstanding contributions from doctoral students, master’s students, and researchers from low-income countries. The awards and their respective prizes are as follows:

Doctoral Research Excellence Award

Overview: The Doctoral Research Excellence Award is a distinguished honor designed to spotlight and commend the remarkable research efforts of current doctoral scholars. The recipient of this award will be privileged with a complimentary publication slot in Scopus and Web of Science Indexed Proceedings, or in the esteemed “Steps for Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering” journal.

Eligibility Requirements:

The candidate’s research paper should be an independent work, solely authored by a currently enrolled doctoral student.
All submissions must be accompanied by authenticated evidence of doctoral program enrollment, preferably through official university transcripts or related documentation.
A letter of recommendation from the research supervisor is imperative, vouching for the quality, relevance, and significance of the submitted work.
Prospective awardees must provide a detailed research statement, shedding light on their doctoral research, while particularly highlighting its novelty and overarching importance.
Submitted works will undergo a rigorous review process, gauging their innovation, depth, and potential to make a notable impact within the domains of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering.

Masters Research Excellence Award

Overview: The Masters Research Excellence Award is a distinguished honor established to recognize and applaud the exemplary research endeavors of current master’s students. The recipient of this award will be afforded a complimentary publication slot in Scopus and Web of Science Indexed Proceedings, or in the esteemed “Steps for Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering” journal.

Eligibility Requirements:

The candidate’s research paper should be an independent effort, solely penned by a student currently enrolled in a master’s program.
All submissions must be accompanied by authenticated evidence of master’s program enrollment, preferably official university transcripts or equivalent documentation.
A supportive letter from the research advisor or academic mentor is essential, endorsing the quality, relevance, and significance of the submitted research.
Prospective nominees must provide a comprehensive research statement, detailing their master’s research, with a particular emphasis on its novelty and critical importance.
All submitted papers will undergo a meticulous assessment, based on their innovation, depth, and potential contribution to the realms of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering.

Research Excellence Award for Low-Income Country Scholars

Overview:
The Research Excellence Award for Low-Income Country Scholars is an esteemed recognition dedicated to honoring and promoting the significant research pursuits of scholars originating from low-income nations. Regardless of their academic level—be it master’s, doctoral, postdoctoral, or other research capacities—the recipient will benefit from a complimentary publication in Scopus and Web of Science Indexed Proceedings, or in the respected “Steps for Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering” journal.

Eligibility Requirements:

The candidate should be a researcher hailing from a designated low-income country, irrespective of their current academic or professional level.
The submitted research paper should be the individual work of the applicant.
All entries must be complemented by valid proof of affiliation to an educational/research institution in a low-income country. This can be in the form of institutional identification, official transcripts, or related documentation.
A recommendation or endorsement letter from a mentor, supervisor, or department head attesting to the quality, relevance, and significance of the research is mandatory.
Applicants are encouraged to furnish a detailed research statement, outlining their study’s objectives, methods, and especially its novelty and contribution to the field.
Submissions will be subjected to a thorough review process, where they will be evaluated based on innovation, depth, and their potential impact within the fields of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering.
