Dr. Ali jahami

University of Balamand, Lebanon

Dr. Ali Jahami is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Balamand, Lebanon. He specializes in structural engineering and sustainable construction materials, with research interests spanning sustainable concrete technologies, mixed waste materials, reinforced concrete behavior, size effect, finite element modeling, structural rehabilitation, FRP systems, and AI applications in engineering. He has published extensively, with over 1,100 citations and an H-index of 21 (Google Scholar). Dr. Jahami serves as Editor-in-Chief of Steps for Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering and is an active reviewer for more than 30 Scopus-indexed journals. He has received multiple international research grants, leads major funded projects on sustainable concrete, and contributes to national standards through LIBNOR technical committees. His work supports innovation and sustainability in civil engineering across the Middle East.

Workshop Aim

This one-day workshop aims to bring together researchers, academics, engineers, and professionals to present and discuss the latest developments in civil engineering and sustainable infrastructure, covering a wide range of disciplines including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, hydrology and water resources, transportation, and construction management. The workshop promotes innovation, knowledge exchange, and collaboration while supporting high-quality scientific publication through SCCEE.

Workshop Scope

The workshop provides a comprehensive scientific platform addressing modern civil engineering challenges related to sustainability, resilience, safety, climate adaptation, and smart technologies. It highlights both research advancements and practical engineering solutions, with emphasis on bridging academic research with real-world applications.
